Alberta Series Workshop: In this workshop the student will learn how to sew any quilt from any of the 14 Alberta Series Quilts patterns.  They will also be encouraged to do some experimenting and make changes to the pattern.  (I took this class and learned some great tips about accurate cutting, sewing and pressing. The ease and beauty of these quilts is amazing)  $60

Quilters Primer: A primer is an introductory book on any subject. This class is a primer for all that want to learn to make quilts. In this class we will make at least 6 different blocks. We will join the blocks with sashing and borders. We will also learn to quilt and add a binding. This class is designed to teach the basic skills properly. Learn to use rotary cutters, sew with an accurate 1/4” seam allowance, and press with out stretching the fabric. Learn to quilt with a walking foot.   TBA  $170 includes book

Free Motion Quilting - Whole Cloth: Practice your skills by filling in areas on a whole cloth quilt.  Pay special attention to the size of the patterns as well as learning how to plan for a variety of continuous quilting designs.  Previous FMQ experience encouraged. $50

Alberta Series and Pieced Lettering Trunk Show: Join us for an evening of beautiful quilts as Wayne from Tuxedo Park Designs joins us and shows us his quilts.  He'll explain the whys of his series and show lots of variations.  This show is perfect for those who are considering participating in any of classes in the following weeks or just want to see what his patterns are all about. $15

Photo Transfer: Have you always wanted to try photo transfer but were to scared to take the first step?  Do you have all the supplies at home but don’t know where to start?  Attend this lecture/demo class and learn about the photo transfer process  - learn to use purchased fabric or make your own – learn tips about printer and printing, scanning and editing your photos.  This class will have your head buzzing with ideas and ready to start your project as soon as you get home!  No supplies required for class – just bring a pen, paper and enthusiasm!! If necessary “work” classes can be arranged after the primer to assist you in editing and printing your photos for your 1st project.

Would you like to try creative stitchery, embellishments and threads on your quilts but are too scared?  Machine quilting in sections is the course for you – in this class you will learn to break your quilt into sections for easy sewing, handling and quilting.  Learn several different methods to finish your quilts whether you have a top or fabric in a box! $35

Free Motion Feathers: Learn how to create beautiful feathers that fly.  Students will learn 3 methods of stitching feathers in this great no-mark technique.  $30

Hollow Cubes:  Create optical illusions in fabric the easy way.  Simple cutting and sewing techniques will have this quilt done in no time.  Using different values of light, medium and dark fabrics creates three dimensional designs in fabric.  $180 (4.5 meter fabric for Dyeing and pattern included)
